Our Older Toddler Room | 22–27 Months

Our Older Toddler room is a lively, nurturing environment where children are encouraged to become increasingly independent, confident and curious as they continue their nursery journey.

At this stage, children are developing their personalities and becoming more confident in expressing their thoughts, feelings and ideas. Our experienced practitioners provide a wide range of exciting, age-appropriate experiences that encourage children to explore, investigate and learn through play.

Children can enjoy creative activities, sensory experiences, stories, music, role play, construction and lots of opportunities for outdoor play. We encourage children to make choices, try new things and develop their own interests, while supporting them to solve problems and learn through their experiences.

Communication and language become an increasingly important part of our day. We encourage children to talk, listen, ask questions and share their ideas through conversations, stories, songs and everyday interactions. We also support children as they develop their confidence in playing alongside others, forming friendships, sharing and taking turns.

We gently encourage independence with everyday routines, helping children to develop self-help skills such as feeding themselves, washing their hands, tidying away and making simple choices.

Every child is unique, and our team take the time to understand their individual interests, abilities and stage of development. We celebrate their achievements and provide the encouragement they need to take their next steps with confidence.

Our Older Toddler room is a place where children can learn through play, build friendships, develop independence and grow in confidence, while having lots of fun along the way.

The children in the Blossom Room have access to their own nappy changing area and bathroom which is based across the hall, this has several facilities for the children to use and it gives them the opportunity to explore in toilet/potty training.
