Our Younger Toddler Room | 15–24 Months
Our toddler room is a fun, welcoming and nurturing environment where little ones can build confidence, develop their independence and explore the world around them.
At this stage, children are becoming increasingly curious and active, and our team provide plenty of opportunities for them to explore, investigate and learn through play. We offer a wide range of age-appropriate activities including sensory play, messy play, music, stories, creative activities and plenty of opportunities to get outside and explore.
We encourage children to become more independent in everyday routines, supporting them as they learn to make choices, communicate their needs and develop new skills at their own pace. Whether they are learning to feed themselves, beginning to use a cup, developing their language or taking those exciting first steps towards independence, our practitioners are there to encourage and celebrate every achievement.
Communication and social development are an important part of our day. Through songs, stories, conversations and interactive play, we help children build their vocabulary, express themselves and begin to develop positive relationships with others.
We understand that every child develops differently, so our caring team provide individual support and encouragement based on each child’s interests, abilities and stage of development.
Our aim is to create a happy and secure environment where toddlers can explore, learn, grow and have lots of fun, while developing the confidence they need for their next stage of nursery life.
This room is equipped with everything your little one will need, highchairs, separate nappy changing area, cosy areas and a loving environment. Orchid room has access to their own kitchen area.
Key worker
Your child will be allocated a Key Worker who you will be introduced to you on the first settling in session. The Key Worker will have a chat with you to share information about your child, which will enable them to better understand your child’s needs and to begin forming a relationship. All of our Key Workers have a wealth of experience and up to date knowledge in all aspects of the EYFS. They will provide advice, guidance and support you with anything you need.
