Poppy Room | 27–32 Months
Our Poppy room is a stimulating, caring and engaging environment where children are encouraged to become confident, independent learners through play, discovery and hands-on experiences.
At this age, children are naturally curious and eager to explore the world around them. Our experienced practitioners provide a wide range of exciting activities that support all areas of development, including creative play, role play, stories, music, early mark making, construction, sensory experiences and outdoor learning.
Communication and language continue to flourish during this stage, and we encourage children to share their ideas, ask questions and develop their vocabulary through everyday conversations, stories, songs and group activities.
Children are supported to build friendships, develop social skills and learn how to work and play alongside others. Through positive interactions and gentle guidance, we help children develop confidence, resilience and an understanding of sharing, turn-taking and kindness.
Independence is an important part of daily life in our Poppy room. We encourage children to make choices, develop self-help skills and take pride in their achievements, helping them prepare for the next stage of their nursery journey.
Every child is unique, and our practitioners carefully plan experiences around each child’s interests, needs and stage of development to ensure they feel valued, supported and inspired to learn.
Our Poppy room is a place where children can discover, create, build friendships and grow in confidence.
They also have access to their own kitchen area and the outdoor playground.
Key worker
Your child will be allocated a Key Worker who you will be introduced to you on the first settling in session. The Key Worker will have a chat with you to share information about your child, which will enable them to better understand your child’s needs and to begin forming a relationship. All of our Key Workers have a wealth of experience and up to date knowledge in all aspects of the EYFS. They will provide advice, guidance and support you with anything you need.
